Language Certificate
Because this is an English-taught programme, English language proficiency must be proven. This is possible in one of the following ways:
1) Confirmation of English proficiency through either a completed bachelor or master’s programme studied in the following English-speaking countries Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA.
2) English certificate:
- Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) grades C, B, A
- Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) PASS
- Michigan ECPE (Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English) PASS
- Trinity ISE 3 (Integrated Skills in English) PASS
- Pearson PTE Academic MINIMUM SCORE 76
- IELTS Academic MINIMUM OVERALL SCORE 7
- TOEFL iBT MINIMUM SCORE 98
- APTIS ESOL C1 – British Council
The provided language certificates must not be older than 2 years wherefore the 2 years will be counted back from the start date of the application.
No English proficiency letter or other certificates will be accepted.
Letters of Recommendation
The letters of recommendation must be from an academic in your Bachelor's or degree programme. It is possible to upload the letters of recommendation directly into the online application. If the person writing the letter of recommendation does not want to send it to you directly, they can send it to jointdegrees(at)uni-graz.at and we will take care of the upload.
Note:
1. Applicants must include with their application either an approved language certificate or a confirmation of registration for a language test. The language test must be taken before the selection meeting and the scores must be available at the selection meeting at the latest.
If you experience any problems, i.e., the language test centers are closed or the test has been cancelled, please upload a confirmation of the cancelled test and a confirmation of your test registration. Please provide additional language certificates or confirmations (e.g., older certificates, diplomas, etc.). Due to this unusual situation, the selection committee will evaluate the application on the condition that proof of language proficiency is provided at a later date.
2. If you have not yet received your diploma/degree certificate, you can apply for the programme, but you should mention in your application when you will graduate and that you will provide the selection committee with your diploma/certificate as soon as possible after graduation. Your diploma/degree certificate must be submitted as hard copy at the latest during admission to the entrance university!
