Career Prospects
The joint perspective of cultural sociology provides an in-depth understanding of the manifold challenges faced by the contemporary world, be it migration, education, urban development, sport management, art industry, social inequality, (social) media impact, etc. This, along with the thorough general analytical training stands for a substantial advantage, whether the students, after finishing the programme, decide to enter the ever changing labor market, or continue their university and research careers at higher levels.
As graduate of this Master’s Programme you will have the added value of a profound international and intercultural experience to add to your academic degree. You may pursue further academic study at PhD level or seek employment within a wide range of options in the public, semi-public and private sector, as well as NGOs.
Public bodies include EU, national, regional, and local governments, university management and administration, and various public and semi-public agencies and think-tanks. Private employers include various consultancies in the areas of opinion research and marketing, the media and creative industries. Opportunities of employment in NGOs cover a range of roles extending from project management to research and evaluation of projects.
